Anka Mini Furniture Set in Espresso Stain Review
My parents got this table chair set for my daughter for Christmas when she was 19 months old.It is just perfect for her! A friend of ours has the set at her house so I was able to see it in person before requesting it as a gift.I love that there is a stool for adults- my daughter knows that is my seat, and will carry it over to me if I am in another part of the room- b/c she wants me to join her at her table!Now at 21 months she eats her breakfast and lunch there.When I ask her if she is ready for lunch she hops right in one of the chairs.We have it set up near her play kitchen so she is constantly move food/pots/pans from kitchen to table. she also loves to color at the table. I do love the espresso stain.My friend had the natural stain, but we havea lot of dark colored furniture so I thought it would look best in our home- I was right!definitley looks like nice kids furniture and not a cheap kids piece. The Anka table and chairs set is made of genuine birch wood so it's really sturdy. It has three children's chairs and one open-backed stool, which supports the weight of an adult (the seats, stool, and table hold up to 250 pounds each)! The adult stool is a fabulous feature because it allows me to sit at the table with my son when he's putting together a puzzle or coloring. (But truth be told, he prefers to stand. The chairs are rarely used right now. Thank goodness they can be stacked one on top of another for easy storage!). As I watch my son race his Matchbox cars around the table legs, or my daughter color her first picture while gripping the edge of the table for support, I can't help but hope they'll have fond memories of their table and chairs when they grow older.
